Day 5
Sunday, March 07, 2010
o6MAR10 Activities planned today were cancelled due to bad weather. Weather forecast said that the temperature today would drop below 0 degrees Celsius. So, it's another 'free day' for us. After a whole morning of not doing much and lying around, we went shopping in the afternoon! Weili, Jiaen, Dorothea, Benedict and I took the Mian Bao Che to the same shopping area we went to last time. This time, the driver auntie was very kind. She only charged us 25yuan, and she even gave us her phone number so that we can call her whenever we needed transportation. Which can possibly save us from a lot of trouble. I think that this is a really good way to 'snatch' business from other people. Since we can directly call her and ask her to drive us to wherever we want to go, instead of having to go out and negotiate with the driver about the price again and then worried of they may bring us to 'sell' if they are human traffickers. And it is somewhat like us calling for a taxi in Singapore, just that we are calling directly to the driver here. we went to the Carrefour in the Guang Gu Bu Xing Jie and saw this restaurant selling Singapore Dishes like Laksa, Ice Kachang and Hainanese Chicken Rice. I was quite surprised as I didn't expect that such a restaurant would open at such a small city, when compared to other major cities like Beijing and Shanghai. After we're done shopping, we called her and she came to drive us back to the hostel. Labels: OIP IS MODULE
